Java Developer

Software Development House

POSITION INFO:

A software development house based in Kloof (KZN) is seeking the services of Java Developer.

• Degree in computer sciences, coding, or a related field
• At least 5 years'' experience in Java-based programming. 
• Significant coding skills in Java, with other languages being a major plus. 
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Core Java knowledge 
• Hibernate
• Knowledge of build processes using Maven
• Knowledge of spring. boot and experience building microservices
• Knowledge and capability in unit testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD, and with branch/pull-request workflows using Git
• Knowledge of thick-client Java (Swing) would be beneficial as the existing system uses it

For this position, the candidate must be able to work independently in the sense of being capable to deliver stories end to end; this means we are looking for experienced developers - at least 3 to 4 years'' experience minimally.

We are looking for a team member to be part of our core teams which work on a range of technologies from .NET to TypeScript - only the initial project tech stack (likely for the first year or 18 months) is described above, but the developer will move onto projects in other tech areas
