SUMMARY:
Our client, a busy stainless steel service centre requires a candidate with experience, preferably from a steel fabrication background.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12/ equivalent
SAMTRAC, SACPCMP registration would be an advantage

Experience and Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Construction environment, preferably a Fabrication workshop or Fabrication site
Computer literate
Of sober habits
Own reliable transport
A valid driver’s license
A stable work record and contactable references
Experience in the metal works industry
Firm and concise
Self -motivated and ability to work in a team
Strong planning, organisation & monitoring abilities
Respond quickly to changing situations & works well under pressure whilst maintaining individual team effectiveness

Duties and responsibilities:

Establishment and maintenance of a construction workshop health and safety culture
Define and ensure legal compliance
Ensuring regulations are in place
Effectively administrating the SHE systems
Development and maintenance of safety plan and file are up to date
Ensuring site inspections take place when necessary
Completing project site audits on time
Inducting new employees
Effectively carrying out the job observation and risk assessments
Development and growth towards ISO45001 and NOSA certification
Inform management of any Health, Safety or Environment issues that may cause damage, injury, safety, or health related problems
