POSITION INFO:
The Role:

Safety Co-ordinator is responsible for assisting the HSE Manager in overseeing company''s employee safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines. 

The main goal will be to always ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents. Stock control, Maintenance, Environmental, Waste Management and Security supervision.

Essential Education:

• Grade 12
• Formal Certificates and training in Occupational Health and Safety
• PSIRA Grade B minimum

Essential Experience:

• MS Office (Should not ask assistance on basic report writing and stats compiling, etc)
• 2 Years work experience as a Safety Co-ordinator or similar role
• Experience in producing reports.
• Own reliable transport
• Security supervision / management experience

KPA''s:

• Ensure adherence to the company`s rules and regulations as documented in the company`s disciplinary policy;
• Ensure adherence to all health and Safety practises and procedures as defined during induction and other health Safety training
• Supervise OHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
• Arrange HS training schedules and inductions on a regular basis.
• Ensure compliance to Stock and Key Control policies.
• Enforce preventative measures.
• Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
• Assist Maintenance department with preventative maintenances schedules on all workplace machines and equipment, installations and any other work that could harm employees'' safety or production.
• Good knowledge of legislations and procedures
• Good knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in producing reports and be proficient in MS Office.
• Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed.
• Adhoc function which may fall in the ambit of the job requirements.Incident investigations and background
