SUMMARY:
Our client a busy Steel fabricator requires a junior person to assist the HR Manager with all HR related duties.

POSITION INFO:


Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/equivalent – preferably with accountancy as a subject
  • A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources will be an advantage

 

Experience and Requirements:

  • A maximum of 3 years’ experience as a Human Resource Administrator in a steel or engineering environment will be an advantage
  • Computer Literate Ms word and Excel
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Up to date with the latest labour law legislations
  • Own reliable transport
  • Reside in or around the Roodepoort area
  • A non-smoker
  • Familiar with Employment Equity documentation and skills development and submissions
  • A stable work record and contactable references

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the Recruiting, training, and development of staff
  • Compile job descriptions and advertisements, letters of appointment etc.
  • Oversee the health, safety, and welfare of all employees
  • Monitoring staff performance and attendance
  • Advising Management and other employees on employment law and the employer''s own employment policies and procedures
  • Negotiate salaries, contracts, working conditions etc.
  • Placing of adverts
  • Ensuring that filing is up to date
  • Review Applications and Portfolios of Candidates
  • Shortlisting and Reference Checking of all new staff
  • Administering interview processes
  • Draft and issue offer letters, letters of appointments and Cost of Employment as per the EE policy and budget approvals
  • Ensure completed employment take on pack is received within the relevant payroll deadline date and issued to payroll to capture
  • Managing new employee inductions process from start to end
  • Working closely with payroll department
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Managing employee files and audits
  • Assisting with various adhoc duties as and when required
