SUMMARY:
JUNIOR GROUP TRAINING OFFICER– BEDFORDVIEW

POSITION INFO:

Our client a national supplier of retail steel, hardware and fluid control products requires an experienced Training Officer.

Qualification:

  • Grade 12 / equivalent

 Experience and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience required within a training role / function
  • The ideal candidate should come from a wholesale / retail steel and hardware background or related this will be an advantage
  • Have a stable work record with contactable references
  • Knowledge required with regards to the compilation and submission of the WSP / ATR, Employment Equity reports etc
  • Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence
  • Computer literate –   Ms Office Suite advanced skills
  • Reside on the East Rand
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organise as well as oversee the appropriate training for various divisions and sectors within the group
  • Administer training processes
  • Ensure that the company is registered with the correct SETA’s
  • Assess the workforce current skills and compare them with the skills required to meet future business objectives
  • Liaise with Managers regarding training interventions
  • Compile and coordinate training schedules
  • Design and implement training plans
  • Managing of the training budget (monitor costs)
  • Submit monthly reports on training activities and results
