JUNIOR BUYER (STEEL & TUBE) – WYNBERG, SANDTON

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

• 2 or more years recent working experience as a Buyer and have experience buying Steel and related products
• Computer literate (MS Office Suite & Syspro)
• Knowledge of Mild Steel & Tube as well as industrial hardware and related products
• Strong admin and stock control experience in the steel industry
• Reliable transport
• Reside close to Wynberg or surrounding areas
• Must be able to work retail hours , not on Saturday
• Have a stable work record and contactable references
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Responsibilities:

• Source and negotiate with suppliers
• Receive and check stock to delivery notes
• Record damages and shortages
• Generate returns to Supplier for approval and processing
• Confirm receipt to purchase order
• Identify and mark branch stock according to purchase order
• Generate invoices on collection of goods
• Check dispatched stock to supplementary pick slips and invoices
• Record all returns
• Generate requests for Credit Notes for approval and processing
• Perform daily stock counts
• Assist with stock counts
• General filing and administration related duties
