SUMMARY:
Our client is looking to employ a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic team. You will report to the Directors and the Senior Accountant and carry out the following key functions: The ideal candidate must be a self-starter as they offer excellent career growth and opportunities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12/ equivalent
Completed BCom (Accounting) degree or similar
Articles will be an added advantage

Experience and Requirements:

At least 3 – 5 years working experience as an Accountant
Proficient on MS Excel including spreadsheets and formulas
Management experience as you will be required to supervise over 3 staff members in the Accounts Department
A stable work record and contactable references
Reside close to Roodepoort
Reliable transport
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
A clear ITC and Criminal record
A non-smoker

Duties and responsibilities:

Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
Responsible for assistance with the full accounting function
Monitoring budgets vs. actuals
Balance sheet and general ledger management
Assist with submission of various tax returns
Assist in the managing of the external audits
Performing the full function of Payroll
