JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT – ROODEPOORT (3950)

Qualifications:

• Grade 12/ equivalent
• Completed BCom (Accounting) degree or similar would be an advantage

 Experience and Requirements:

• At least 3 – 5 years working experience as an Accountant
• Proficient on MS Excel including spreadsheets and formulas
• Management experience as you will be required to supervise over 3 staff members in the Accounts Department
• A stable work record and contactable references
• Reside close to Roodepoort
• Reliable transport
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• A clear ITC and Criminal record
• Preferably a non-smoker

Duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
• Responsible for assistance with the full accounting function Bank & General Ledger reconciliation
• Processing and reconciliation of creditors
• Processing of month end journals
• Assist with VAT and PAYE calculation and submissions
• Processing and reconciliation of cashbooks
• Prepare and process journals for inter-company loan accounts
• Balance inter-company loan accounts
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Assist in the managing of the external audit
• Preparation of management reports and KPI’s
• General administrative task
