SUMMARY:
Position available at a dynamic brokerage registered with the JSE for a Bonds Settlement Officer in the Southern Suburbs.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

1.JSE Bonds Settlement Officer Exam (SAIFM)

2. Registered Persons Examinations (SAIFM):
2.1. Regulation and Ethics of the South African Financial Markets
2.2 Introduction to the Financial Markets
2.3 The Bond Market
2.4 The Derivatives Market

3. Excellent Excel skills

4. At least 2 years experience with Bonds and in a similar position

5. SA Citizen

 

Duties:

Facilitate all fixed income settlements and cash flow management according to the JSE rules and regulations to ensure that all transactions are settled in terms of the Rules and Directives

• Ensure efficient booking of Bond Trades .
•  Ensure all Bond settlements run smoothly.
•  Be able to process entries on BDA.
•  Liaise with counterparties in relation to all daily settlements.
•  Determine daily liquidity requirements for the Treasury dealers.
•  Ensure accurate maintenance of all records and documentation as per JSE requirements.
•  Identify and assess the risks, which could prevent the objectives of your role.
•  Assist with administration and efficient middle office operations.
•  Assist Dealing Team with daily tasks.
