Job Description
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the resort’s reservations operations, day-to-day financial functions, and support to the General Manager.
Reservation’s function:
- This role involves leading a team of reservationists and support people, ensuring efficient booking processes, providing excellent customer service, and optimizing reservation systems to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- This Manager collaborates closely with various departments to maintain a seamless guest experience.
Financial function:
- Capturing cash books.
- Processing payments on FNB.
- Reconciliation between Inn Keeper and Accpac.
- Capturing of creditors invoice.
- Monthly debtors invoicing.
- Month end accounting function up to trial balance.
- Ad hoc functions.
Qualifications
Diploma in Travel and Tourism. Accounting / Bookkeeping experience.
Skills
Minimum 5 Years’ experience as a Deputy Resort Manager Accounting / Bookkeeping experience. Fully computer literate with Microsoft. In Keeper and OPERA experience essential. Accpac experience is advantageous. Extensive Inn keeper booking system experience / and or OPERA is essential. Strong Managerial Skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Strong Project Management skills. Decision making and problem solving. Strong financial acumen and administration skills.
