Job Description
Our client has an opportunity for an SEO Specialist to join their Marketing Team promoting an online sports betting brand that operates in regulated markets across the world. The team is based in Johannesburg but markets the brand across a variety of African, Latin and European countries worldwide. The primary responsibility of the SEO Specialist will be to monitor, support and enhance the technical SEO performance of company owned and managed websites and champion traffic growth through smart, actionable search strategies. The SEO Specialist will need to have strong marketing and analytical skills to drive business growth and success.
Develop, implement and optimise SEO strategies and initiatives for a variety of company owned and managed websites.
On-page and off-page optimisation of websites
Perform keyword optimisation as well as ongoing keyword discovery and expansion.
Research and implement SEO recommendations for content optimization.
Drive traffic and increase ROI through competitive analysis, content creation and link building.
Develop, implement and track SEO campaigns, both in testing and live platforms.
Identify opportunities and develop plans/protocols for implementing scalable SEO growth.
Conduct in-depth site audits and identify technical SEO opportunities and troubleshoot business critical fixes.
Provide regular report on campaign metrics.
Stay abreast of search engine guidelines, industry trends, all search engine algorithm updates and online behaviour and trends.
Qualifications
A Degree/Diploma in Marketing or similar relevant qualification. Google certified.
Skills
3+ years of technical SEO experience. Advanced knowledge of SEO methodologies and best practices. Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot onsite issues impacting site performance. Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods. Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools. Strong HTML, CSS and PHP/C# skills. A high degree of business acumen. Consistent high standard and quality of work with a strong focus on results. Ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven, high pressure environment. Good time management and problem-solving skills. Extremely detail oriented and well organized. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Ideally a sports enthusiasts who is especially fanatical about soccer.
