SUMMARY:
Investment and asset management concern based in the Northern suburbs has an opportunity for an Investment and Compliance Administrator.  Previous experience in a similar role doing investment administration and compliance is essential.  Experience in wealth investment concerns or investment advisory highly advantageous.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role will be to effectively perform all the investment administrative and compliance tasks required to ensure that the Investment Manager can adequately service its clients.
Responsible for the investment reporting to clients, maintaining trade and performance databases, assistance in preparation of various investment reports and board packs as well as performing various compliance tasks.
The role requires someone with a very high attention to detail and strives for an exceptional degree of accuracy in all tasks. The role also requires someone to have a background in and a general understanding of investment markets and securities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Reconciliation of brokerage notes to trade instructions.
2. Populating monthly and quarterly investment statements and reports (based in MS Excel) from various source documents.
3. Preparation of reporting packs and letters for distribution to clients and internal use.
4. Updating performance and trade databases.
5. Conducting attribution analyses.
6. Using Excel graphs to display a range of data.
7. Preparation of investment fact sheets.
8. Calculation of investment fees.
9. Assistance in the preparation and populating of board report packs.
10. Populating templates of investment entities management accounts and managing MS PowerBI dashboards
11. Identify and pursue opportunities to improve reporting and compliance functions.
12. General assistance in ad hoc or project-based investment related administrative tasks.
13. Maintenance of compliance records.
14. Compilation of various compliance reports.
15. Ensuring FICA and FAIS compliance is maintained.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
1. Ability to work to clear deadlines
2. Communications skills
3. Willingness to learn and upskill where necessary
4. Very high level of accuracy in all tasks
5. Very high attention to detail
6. Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
7. Advanced MS Excel is advantageous
8. MS PowerBI understanding experience is advantageous

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Background of administration in a financial services firm is  highly advantageous 
2. Strong MS Excel skills and willingness to be upskilled further.
