JOB DESCRIPTION:

Fantastic opportunity to join a respected and talented investment services team in Cape Town as their Investment Performance Analyst and be their expert in the team at this! Previous performance, attribution and risk experience sought!

Responsibilities:

  • Attribution and performance analysis
  • Portfolio analytics
  • Monitor risk exposure around portfolios
  • Risk and performance analysis to represent to clients
  • Work with the construction of client portfolios and support the portfolio management team
  • Data interrogation and data analysis
  • Validation, reconciliation, analysist and preparation of data
  • Develop an understanding of the market risks and tools
  • Report generation, client report submissions (there is a team to prepare the reports, you'll oversee)
  • Support the portfolio management team

Requirements

  • Minimum BBusSci / BCom Investments / BSc majors maths/ stats/ finance/ engineering or similar
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years' experience in a similar role - with performance, risk and attribution experience, essential.
  • Good base of technical investment knowledge, ideally with quantitative ability i.e. performance and risk calculations etc.
  • A good team player with excellent communication skills
  • Strong MS Excel and data analysis
  • Excellent time management and client services skills
  • Ability to learn and pay high attention to detail
  • Keen interest in the financial markets
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Highly analytical and numerate
