Key Performance Areas:

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Set-up meetings with the role players to discuss the roles and responsibilities and possible areas of cooperation, improvement, and conflict
• Liaising closely with clients, research institutions, financial industry, consultancy firms and other relevant stakeholders to develop new ideas for syndicated research products
• Work with Marketing and Communications (MARCOMMS) and Macro Business Intelligence (MBI) to ensure the required level of exposure for the sector/industry is achieved
• Provide investor with relevant industry/sector information
• Identify companies seeking new investment locations internationally and market the region to potential investors
• Collaborate with sector relevant bodies and undertake joint events
• Assess and analyse business plans for possible investments/projects
• Monitor the performance of all relevant role players continuously to ensure that agreements are honoured
• Compile a database indicating the role players, expected outputs, contact details
• Maintain the relationship database to ensure relevancy and accuracy
• Lobby regulatory authorities on behalf of potential clients for improved investment climate
• To develop sector key action plan aligned to the organization’s mandate and submit for inclusion into the business unit operational plan
• Contribute towards achieving company targets in terms of investment facilitated and job creation
• Act as a link between local municipalities and potential investors
• Assist to identify sites for projects taking into consideration the infrastructure needs
• Prepare pre-and post-mission reports within prescribed time frames

Minimum Requirements:

• Sound industry experience and proven track record in investment facilitation
• Relevant B Degree or equivalent qualifications in Commerce or Economics
• Project Management capabilities with at least 5 – 7 years’ experience in project management and computer literate
• Understanding of industry environment regulation
• Good knowledge and strong interest in the industry
• Customer Orientation/focus: Ability to listen and understand customer requirements (internal and external) and anticipate customer needs and give priority to customer satisfaction
• Strong analytical skills: Ability to collect all relevant information, identify key issues/relationships and relate and compare data from different sources to identify opportunities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills– verbal and written: Ability to compose and exchange information concisely for the type and level of audience
• Strong presentation skills: Ability to confidently present information and communicate well at senior management level using appropriate language and style.
