Inventory Superintendent – Warehouse

POSITION INFO:

Our client based in Humansdorp is looking for an experienced Inventory Superintendent.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• The jobholder will lead a team within the warehouse and will be expected to implement and maintain policies and procedures related to inventory control.
• He/she will be responsible for monitoring all transactions on the inventory system for accurate and proper record keeping and the reconciliation of all products transferred from production to the warehouse.
• The successful candidate will look after all internal stock movements as well as from the warehouse to customers. he/she will be expected to Investigate inventory discrepancies and generate accurate daily and monthly reports.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• The successful candidate will have a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification such as Inventory Control Management or Cost and Management Accounting.
• At least 3 years previous experience in inventory control/reconciliations/accounting performing in a similar role is essential.
• Be an ethical leader who is able to lead, discipline and develop a team of employees to effectively meet departmental objectives.
• The Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Possess good organisational and business administration skills, attention to detail, handle multiple functions and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• A high level of competency in MS Office, Clicksence, Navision and WMS is expected.
• The person must have a valid driver’s license, own transport, and be willing to work overtime and public holidays.
