Inventory & Inbound Logistics Controller

POSITION INFO:

A Pharmaceutical company in Parow is looking for an Inventory Logistics Controller with a minimum of 5 years’ warehouse logistics OR distribution environment experience with 2 years Management or Supervisory experience. 

Must have Matric, Relevant Diploma level qualification (i.e.Logistics Management/ Inventory and/or supply chain management)  

Duties includes:

• Enforce and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Goods Receiving and Inventory control.
• Manage Risks associated with inbound logistics and Goods returned to suppliers (Reverse logistics).  • Manage risk associated with inventory holding, dormant stock and stock obsolescence
• Ensure the accuracy of the Inventory file.
• Investigate discrepancies in stock file to shelf, approve and sign off adjustments and report on same
• Manage allocation of storage space and accuracy of stock rotation.
• Ensure that monthly internal audit checks are done and report on same.
• Responsible for the planning, preparation and execution of the Annual stock take
• Identify opportunities of improvement in inventory management and drive approved changes.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on product demand fluctuations and inbound supply planning.
• Identify and implement cost savings ideas and maximise waste reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety of Stacking and storage conditions according to Good Wholesale and Pharmacy Practice.
• Promote teamwork among team members and support teams through the use of good communication skills and leadership behaviour.
• Implement strategies and practices to achieve established weekly/monthly targets
