SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join their team in Boksburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate must have 2 -3 years internal sales experience, excellent communication skills, exceptional customer service skills, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Internal Sales Representative

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • 2 -3 Years internal sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers’ questions and sending additional information per email, if unable to assist to forward queries to the relevant person.
  • Keeping up to date with product information.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
  • Explaining features of products.
  • Staying informed about competing products.
  • Upselling products.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Daily inventory check on ERP System, reporting to Global Sales Manager on any shortages.
  • Preparing and following up on quotations as requested by the Sales team.
  • Reporting on RFQ conversion rate to Global Sales Manager
  • E-mailing quotes to customers cc-ing relevant sales team member in the email.
  • Communicating with Receiving and Inventory department on status of deliveries.
  • Preparation of documents and receiving of payments for Counter Sales.
  • Communicating with (Storeman) on what needs to be prepared for collection for Counter Sales.
  • Communication with Customers on order status.
  • Assess basic competitors by analysing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Follow-up and resolution of outstanding Purchase Orders on a weekly basis reporting all findings to Global Sales Manager.
