SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join their team in Boksburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate must have 2 -3 years internal sales experience, excellent communication skills, exceptional customer service skills, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Internal Sales Representative

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

2 -3 Years internal sales experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft office.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good organisation skills and the ability to multitask.
Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong listening skills.
Ability to achieve targets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
Answering potential customers’ questions and sending additional information per email, if unable to assist to forward queries to the relevant person.
Keeping up to date with product information.
Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
Explaining features of products.
Staying informed about competing products.
Upselling products.
Researching and qualifying new leads.
Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
Daily inventory check on ERP System, reporting to Global Sales Manager on any shortages.
Preparing and following up on quotations as requested by the Sales team.
Reporting on RFQ conversion rate to Global Sales Manager
E-mailing quotes to customers cc-ing relevant sales team member in the email.
Communicating with Receiving and Inventory department on status of deliveries.
Preparation of documents and receiving of payments for Counter Sales.
Communicating with (Storeman) on what needs to be prepared for collection for Counter Sales.
Communication with Customers on order status.
Assess basic competitors by analysing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
Follow-up and resolution of outstanding Purchase Orders on a weekly basis reporting all findings to Global Sales Manager.
