SUMMARY:
We are looking to employ a Customer Services / Internal Sales Manager for a well established textiles manufacturer based in Brackenfell, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:

Ideal Industry experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in customer service management (internal Sales) specific to manufacturing or production environments.

Minimum Qualification:
  • Grade 12
  • Suitable tertiary education covering Business Administration and or Marketing

Technical skill requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in the use of CRM / ERP (customer relationship management) software essential.  
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of management practices and techniques
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability  
  • Technologically Savvy

Key duties and responsibilities:
The head of customer support has the primary objective of driving the vision for consistency in customer support interactions. I.e., ensuring an overall positive customer experience.  
  • To manage the daily running of the customer service centre and sales office.
  • To respond to customer service issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage the timely capturing and processing of customer orders.
  • Provide assistance to customers as far possible and to record sufficient information to refer to the technical sales team if additional support is needed.
  • Measure the effectiveness of all customer support practices and put measures in place to monitor team performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring that customer made to order products are processed within the company guidelines which includes managing stock risk and redundancy.
  • Working closely with the production planning department to ensure clear communication of order completion dates and any changes thereto to customers.
  • Manage customer credit notes in line with the management framework created for it.
  • Manages export customers situated in Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Swaziland and responsible for the completion of relevant export documentation and the retention of proof of export for VAT purposes.
  • To constantly improve on product knowledge and areas of application to better assist customers.
  • To identify suitable training interventions for the service team.
  • To enforce company policies and procedures.
  • To Stay up to date with latest practices throughout the customer service industry in order to apply these internally. I.e., continuous improvement.
