Internal Sales Administrator - Meat and Food Processing Plastics Packaging Industry

A well-known and established Meat and Food Processing Plastics Packaging Manufacturing company requires the above to provide commercial and operational support to the manufacturing and sales teams by co-ordinating, liaising with customers, principals and colleagues and handling all key internal sales administrational responsibilities for the company ensuring that customers’ expectations are met at

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous experience having worked in an Internal Sales Administrative role is essential.
• Previous experience having worked within the plastics manufacturing environment is essential.
• The successful candidate must have attention to detail and be highly organised.
• Must be computer literate with good excel spreadsheet skills capabilities as well as previous experience working on SAP or related.
• Previous experience working on Pastel or related is pref.
• The successful candidate should be customer orientated, passionate and dedicated to working with customers.
• The successful candidate must be a team player and be able to work independently, but also in a team.
• The successful candidate should have good communication skills, both written and verbally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Receiving, processing, and monitoring of all customer orders and manufacturing orders.
• Capturing sales orders and following up on deliveries, as well as following up on daily reports for stock and deliveries.
• Defining and maintaining accurate customer and product data on the company’s ERP system, as well as keeping track of customer priorities.
• Liaising and assisting customers with orders, back orders queries and following up, both on email and telephonically.
• Liaising with operations and planning department to track client order completion.
• Liaising with customers and Internal and External Staff on a daily basis to update them on the progress of orders and to make sure customer requirements are met.
• Responding, within the shortest possible time, to customer queries and requests.
• Liaising with the production planning and warehousing regarding any queries and costing on products related to stock holding. 
• Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues, and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries.
• Updating customers on shipment details on a regular basis, as well as following up on documentation from overseas suppliers.
