SUMMARY:
Internal IT Consultant Our client operating within the Engineering and Manufacturing Sector is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Internal IT Consultant. Location: Northern Suburbs

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Applicable completed Degree in Information Technology.
• Ability to multi-task and work with inputs from various sources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound computer skills (MS Office Excel, Syspro, VIP, ERS Biometrics).

Key Performance Areas:

Systems:

• Maintain network security.
• Maintenance of all hardware (Computers, CCTV, access control, alarm & network equipment).
• Maintenance on all software systems including databases (Syspro, VIP, ERS BIO).
• Setup workstations.
• Assist users with all hardware / software queries.
• Interact with consultants regarding system upgrades and changes.
• Assist department managers with system requirements and changes.
• Manage all system related projects.

Reporting:

• Liaise with management on reporting requirements.
• Setup / write new reports and when identified using either inhouse resources or outsourcing where needed.
• Maintain and improve existing reports.

Feasibility studies:

• Identify hardware and software systems that require upgrades / changes.
• Investigate replacements or upgrade options and the practical implementation at the Company.
• Present upgrade / change proposals to management.

General:

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with regards to all system information.
• Any other relevant task / assignment as given by management.
