Internal Auditor

SUMMARY:
Leading Equipment Hire company has a new opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join their team. Evaluate a systematic and methodical approach to its risk management processes, control and management of the entity and making proposals to strengthen their effectiveness.

POSITION INFO:

Completed Matric, with a Diploma in Internal Auditing coupled with 3-5 years related Internal Auditing experience and own transport essential.  Knowledge of Auditing principles and must be willing to travel to branches / sites as and when required.

Duties include:

Daily

• Open and Close contracts on Puma for Cell C daily and other Network Clients (20 a day)
• Receive and action fuel card usage alerts from service providers.
• Review fuel transactions from the previous day for accuracy and completeness.
• Assurance of fuel usage to hours run integrity checking
• Review and Distribute Daily Reconciliations
• Call Logs (By customer, branch and vehicle)

• Fuel Usage (Generators and vehicles)
• Kilometres travelled per vehicle to fuel usage integrity checks.

• Device Magic service logs maintenance and statistical reporting by branch, FTE and generator.
• Generator utilisation and status reports.
• Identify and escalate overdue tasks (Services, collections)
• Incident logging and reporting (Thefts of diesel, batteries and cables)
• Manage yard stock and trigger refuelling of bulk tanks.

 Weekly

• Assess the usage of fuel from gensets based on the number of running hours recorded for the generator and report thereon
• Review Avis and Nedfleet purchases statements and reconcile movements to activity reports from Device Magic

           Bi-Monthly

• Provide a bi-monthly report of dispenses.

Monthly

• Prepare the fuel reconciliation
  • By Analysing all fuel purchases from all fuel suppliers, dispenses, usage, losses and closing stocks.
  • Prepare the vehicle running/utilisation reconciliation and analyse inefficiencies or redundant mileage.

Adhoc:

• Perform Adhoc consumable stock counts at the branches
• Perform monthly reconciliations of generators
• Perform weekly audits on generators at branch level to ensure that all revenue is accounted for
  • This is achieved by tracking any breaks in running hours on the contracts
  • Audit the running hours of generators
  • Perform Internal procedures to ensure that consumables are being allocated to
    • Vehicles
    • Generators
    • Third Party Generators
    • Provide HR with the Fuel expenditure reports for payroll
    • Perform Internal Audit Procedures to ensure that consumables/spares allocated to third parties are being invoiced.

 Systems.

Aid and Assist the Senior Financial Manager in IT systems implementation and oversight

• Assist the Senior Financial Manager in ensuring that a strong level of controls
