This group is making great strides in becoming a major player in the protein industry in Africa, with a major footprint in operations in Botswana, Nigeria, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. • The successful Internal Auditor will be responsible for:
• Carry out Audit Assignments as instructed by the Group CFO
• Operations include feed mills, breeding and hatching facilities, broiler operations, abattoirs
• Due to the nature of the business a very high focus is placed on Health and Safety Standards
• Assist in audit engagement planning and reporting activities
• Schedule meetings with management to clearly understand the company processes and policies
• Coordinate, plan and execute audit activities within the organization
• Determine audit scope and objective and accordingly prepare audit work plan
• Identify critical risks and recommend corrective steps to address the risks
• Set audit priorities and determine the time required to complete each audit assignment
• Address auditing and operational issues promptly
• Identify best practices to meet audit requirements in a timely manner
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to Internal Audit Manager
• Develop well-crafted audit reports including results and recommendations for management
• Address auditing and operational issues promptly

• Special investigations as per request from the CFO

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting – Non-Negotiable
• CIA advantageous

Experience:

• Completed SAICA Articles – Non-Negotiable
• 1/ 2 Years in Internal Audit
• Agriculture/ Manufacturing Experience would be beneficial
• Extensive Travel in South Africa and Africa
• Strong Accounting background would be beneficial
