Intern Graphic Designer

An established franchised clothing group is currently looking for an intern Graphic Designer to join their team, based at head office. The candidate will be required to meet marketing needs by creating attractive designs and media for marketing, product, and product packaging purposes. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary as you will be working directly with the marketing manager to fulfill your key responsibilities and duties.

Requirements

• Matric Certification
• Degree in Graphic Design obtained at Tukkies, UNISA or UJ
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with the full Adobe Creative Suite essential
• Previous experience within a retail environment
• Experience in social media and digital advertising design: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Videos, PPC/PPM Advertising
• Experience in professional Photography and videography
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Excellent skills in the editing and re-touching of images effectively as required

Duties will include but are limited to

• Generate original and enticing ideas to meet the corporate guidelines and standards of the company
• Follow CI guidelines and ensure brands are properly upheld in all marketing collateral
• Create attractive, conceptually driven designs and layouts
• Design and develop emailers and marketing material
• Attend brainstorm sessions to solve strategic design challenges
• Present projects to the company if necessary
