Intermediate Business Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Insurance sector has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst (With strong data analysis skills) who will fill the role of being a vital link between the IT Data and Human Capital business. This will be a 6 months contract position.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will have the following duties and Responsibilities:

• The Analyst will be required to help the team members to map, analyse and document the technical requirements.
• Additionally, the Business and Data Analyst will have a responsibility to coach and train newly-on boarded entry level and junior Analysts on the Knowledge Areas defined by the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).

Customer Relationship and Requirements Development

• Work collaboratively with the customer to develop Business Requirements (e.g. User Requirements Specifications)
• Identify, determine, and document business requirements
• Engage with Stakeholders to produce Source to Target mappings, Functional Requirements based on the BRD/BRS/User Stories provided by our customers.
• Promote internal/external customer satisfaction and build strong customer relationships
• Analyse various data sources to support data sourcing Business Requirements
• Review test approach and test cases, test plans to ensure coverage of relevant business scenarios. Participate in testing to ensure that business requirements have been met
• Act as subject matter expert by assisting with investigations, business impact and benefits analysis, and request updates of the business case.
• Assist with benefit realisation reviews
• Technical Business Analysis work with stakeholders and the technical team members to map, analyze and document business processes and projects

• Analyse/document current systems and future solutions
• Ability to design a future solution / optimize current solution
• Facilitation of workshops. Conflict resolution. Document all views
• Support and influence findings with supportive analytics
• Ability to build a visual responsive proof of concept systems with the development team
• Work with developers to make sure that development work is done within specifications

 Experience and Qualifications

• BSc Computer Science, BSc Information Systems, BCom or equivalent
• Strong academic record from a nationally recognized institution
• Minimum 3 years Business Analysis experience.
• Minimum 5 years Data Analysis experience
• Experience in the delivery of large scale and complex custom development projects; and
• Minimum 3 years Data Modelling experience.
• Consulting background / experience would be an advantage
