SUMMARY:

INTERMEDIATE ANDROID DEVELOPER
         
A stable and growing onsite & online tutoring center based in Pretoria is currently looking to hire an individual who is self-motivated with great communication skills to join the team as an Intermediate Android Developer. The ideal candidate should have the ability to prioritise development tasks to match timelines and be familiar with UML, Agile methodology and CI/CD best practices.

Location:                          Centurion, Pretoria
Working Hours:               Monday to Friday:           08:00 to 16:30
Salary Range:                   R35 000 including Medical Aid & Pension
Start Date:                        ASAP

Requirements:
 
·         Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma/Technical Certification
·         At least 3 years relevant experience
·         Knowledge of Java, SQLite, RESTful APIs, and Android Studio
·         Scala or functional programming knowledge will be beneficial
·         Must be fluent in English
·         Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems
·         Able to collaborate with cross-functional team members  
 
Duties:
 
·         Interpret requirements into robust technical solutions.
·         Communicate obstacles or issues pro-actively to relevant stakeholders.
·         Collaborate on overall technical solution design.
·         Communicate and demonstrate progress throughout every project phase.
·         Write clear, concise, well-documented code.
·         Participate in regular code reviews with senior development team members.
·         Provide app support
·         Effectively communicate and collaborate with test analysts and business analysts to provide timely feedback and resolutions to production issues, or issues related to features
·         Work with the Technical Operations team to automate builds and code deployments.
