Intercompany Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our leading client in the Information Technology industry is looking to hire an experienced Group Financial Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for performing accurate and timely accounting for a certain group of companies (multiple trial balances), including reporting and all other financial functions. POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have a minimum of +- 8 years’ experience in Group Financial Management, coming from a large corporate business.  
• Must have two 5-7 years Financial Accounting experience.
• Must have Intercompany Transaction Accounting experience and Shared Services.
• Must have experience with working with multiple ERP systems (Syspro experience is beneficial)

Duties include:

• Capturing all invoices and credit notes onto accounting system, ensuring approvals are obtained.
• Issue invoices to relevant clients for payment, issue monthly statements.
• Liaise with debtors /creditors to address account related queries and managing the full function.
• Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
• Project administration
• Forex payment administration.
• Load and 1st release of supplier payments on the banking platform.
• Ensure accurate allocation of revenue & costs based on project accounting principles, making corrective changes where necessary.
• Administration and reconciliation of company pay cards, fleet cards and credit cards.
• Capturing daily bank balances.
• Ensure credit applications are completed correctly per company requirements and created in the accounting system.
• Maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
• Maintain monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Maintain the company''s fixed asset register and posting of monthly depreciation journals.
• Ensure that the subledgers reconcile to the general ledger.
• Preparation and processing of month end journals.
• Manage the Intercompany Transaction Accounting Management and Trial Balance.
• Manage the Project Accounting

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification – Degree in Finance with articles.
