Insurance Business Development Consultant - Commercial

SUMMARY:
Commercial Insurance BDC’s, with relevant industry qualifications and minimum 2 years’ experience in selling short term insurance, either as a broker agent or tied agent, required to source leads and achieve sales targets for the reputable Insurer. Positions available in Sandton and Pretoria.

POSITION INFO:

Commercial Insurance BDC’s, with relevant industry qualifications and minimum 2 years’ experience in selling short term insurance, either as a broker agent or tied agent, required to source leads and achieve sales targets for the reputable Insurer.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 essential
• Relevant FAIS accreditation as set by the FSCA required
• RE5 essential
• Up to date Class of Business and relevant CPD points required
• 2-3years’ experience in selling short term insurance products essential
• Own transport and valid license essential

Responsibilities:

• Commercial Insurance new business development
• Source lead generating opportunities to ensure minimum 20 quotes/month
• 6 written policies required/month
• Manage lead generation process via group presentations, one on one consultations, corporate events, advertising and networking
• Needs analysis once quote is requested
• Product and competitor comparisons
• Reporting on leads, quotes, sales, source of leads, premium, etc
