Instrumentation Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client, an IT Solutions company, has an opportunity available for an Instrumentation Technician to be based in the Western Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Technical certification for technicians
• Strong mathematical and technical skills
• Fully Competent with PLCs, I/O systems, and PLC software programming, update and maintenance.
• Siemens TIA portal
• 4-5 years of experience as a technician, technician apprentice, or relevant work experience
• In-depth understanding of Knowledge of Legal Statuary and safety regulations
• Drivers license required
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

• Monitor and analyse electrical systems
• Collaborate with engineers to determine the best placement of monitoring and measuring devices for system automation and control management.
• Update older electrical systems for changes, cost reductions, improvements, safety, and quality control
• Repair broken equipment and wiring
• Review architectural plans
• Perform calibrations for electronic components
• Modify and updated outdated technology
