Instrumentation Technician

SUMMARY:

Our client within the FMCG sector is currently recruiting for a Instrumentation Technician with strong manufacturing experience. 

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Instrumentation mechanician Trade Test or equivalent.
• 5+ years'' experience in PLC programming is essential.
• Proficient with multiple automation hardware and software.
• Experience in reading and modifying electrical control schematics.
• Knowledge of servo motion controls systems and, or robot motion control.

Duties and responsibilities

• Create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, and commissioning.
• Create and read electrical schematics.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as a part of the plant''s maintenance program.
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments.
• System monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting operational problems.
• Development of programs to suit processes.
• Configure other automation devices, such as VFD’s for automation or control.
• Training of technical personnel on PLC, VSD and servo systems.
• Provide technical support in developing and improving processes.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Electrical fault-finding and repair.
