SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an Instructional Designer with footprints in a Tertiary or Business School or any other education sector to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or graduate certificate
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with a Learning Management System, preferably Moodle.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret content, learning outcomes and target audience level to construct an end-to-end learner experience framework that is suitable to an online learning environment.
  • Competence in applying instructional design methodologies in the development of storyboards.
  • The ability to develop storyboards in an online learning environment (i.e. on an LMS platform).
  • The ability to create an engaging online learning experience that maximises learning opportunities.

 Acquired Skills:

  • Writing narratives
  • Video production / editing
  • Editing and inserting voice overs
  • Desktop publishing skills
  • Developing virtual reality experiences
  • LMS development experience
  • Experience in content management
  • Project management experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing online teaching consultation by understanding faculty’s teaching style, the course learning objectives, required instructional components while co-developing a suitable course delivery strategy and co-identifying relevant learning technologies that would embrace the design of the curriculum for online delivery. 
  • Staying current with online learning trends in higher education, online learning effectiveness, online student readiness, and new online learning tools and methodologies. 
  • Responsibility for everyday online faculty and student support services including but not limited to developing online teaching resources (best practice guides and tutorials), producing eLearning modules, and managing course review assessments. 
  • Developing, coordinating and participating in online teaching seminars and workshops that demonstrate effective uses of instructional technologies in online teaching. 
  • Creative, learner-focused storyboards that encourage engagement through a blended learning approach.
  • Appropriate use of colours, images, layout etc. to create an aesthetically pleasing learning experience.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop meaningful content, which includes formative and summative activities.
