Demonstrate excellent technical understanding of a wide range of data and voice technologies
Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model, IPv4, NAT, DHCP, VLAN and related technology
Knowledge of Asterisk IP-PBX systems and GUI front ends like Free PBX
Experience with Mikrotik routers and networking devices, and a generally strong grasp of routing and switching
VPN setup and support, specifically PPTP, and L2TP VPN technologies
Understanding of service provisioning process
Ability to effectively analyze and troubleshoot last-mile connectivity, such as ADSL, LTE, Fibre, FTTH, Diginet
Implementation of VoIP systems
Understanding IP Addressing, subnetting
Office Suite
Switching, VLANs, VLAN Trunking (advantageous) Crimping RJ45 and RJ11, Cabling and racking, Hardware

Working closely with the operations team and in particular the support administrator
Full responsibility for carrying out extensive technical surveys at clients’ sites in accordance with internal procedures
Complete full statutory checks and tests in line with company processes and procedures
Must be able to manage own time and workload effectively to deliver on target
Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer service and problem resolution where applicable, with the ability to translate at a customer non-technical language
Ensure accurate capture and input of customer information to minimize rework and deliver on target
Carry out other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time
Responsibility for the overall corporate image of company at the clients’ sites and to uphold the company brand values
Communication customer concerns, issues, queries raised during the survey back to the relevant operational teams, ensuring that customers’ requirements are relayed accurately
Ability to generate management information for the executive team
Demonstrate excellent communication between you, sales, and the operations team always
Respond and resolve any customer queries that arise in a courteous professional manner
Adhere to use all information technology and information security policies and procedures
Design bespoke telecoms solutions from customers
Implement solutions from planning to configuration to deployment
Customer installations
Deal with customers regarding installations, maintenance, faults
Provide support for faults and customer troubleshooting
Travel to customers within SA to carry out installs and maintenance
