An opportunity has arisen with our client in the renewable energy industry for a 3 Phase Installation Electrician, to be based at their branch in Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge solar solutions! You’ll work closely with the Operations & Maintenance Manager to review project plans and ensure installations meet high standards. Responsibilities include:

• Setting up solar monitoring systems and diagnosing operational issues.
• Assembling solar array racking and sealing roof penetrations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Installing a range of systems from residential to large-scale industrial projects.
• Collaborating with the Installation Supervisor and Engineering team to bring projects to life.

• Upholding quality assurance and control, with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Monitoring risks and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Minimizing costs and waste to enhance project efficiency.

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4) 
• National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (NQF 6),
• 3-Phase Wireman’s license,
• QCTO Red Seal Electrician Certification, and
• AREP/SAPVIA PV Green Card certification. (preferred)

• Minimum: Up to 3 years of solar installation experience (both roof and ground mount systems).
• Advantageous: Experience with micro and string inverters, and setting up monitoring systems.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel).
• Familiarity with discipline-specific software and systems.
• Exposure to solar inverter testing and battery management systems.

• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a systematic and analytical approach.
• Proactive, ethical, and flexible mindset.
