PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to secure sales through sales initiatives, following up on dormant clients, building networks and channels, responding to leads, managing customers, and achieving sales targets, locally, regionally and in Africa (as relevant)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Inbound Sales and Sales Support
  • Following up on quotations submitted by sales consultants. Updating information on CRM software
  • Calling on dormant clients and submitting quotations for the servicing of equipment and installations
  • Complete inbound sales campaigns by gathering client information, understanding campaign offer, contacting clients and securing targeted leads / sales within deadline
  • Recommend inbound sales campaigns by identifying opportunities, developing recommendations, submitting to Sales Coordinator for approval and implementing within deadline
  • Report on inbound sales by gathering information, collating, analysing, checking for accuracy and completeness and reporting in defined format within deadline
Customer Management
  • Manage customer expectations in each sale by identifying customer priorities and expectations, aligning offering and delivery with customer needs, addressing potential challenges, and communicating issues with customers timeously
  • Maintain customer relationships by communicating with them, discussing previous sales, understanding their business development and needs and presenting solutions that are mutually beneficial and the Customer as required
  • Provide timeous feedback to sales consultants regards clients’ needs or problems
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries by receiving information, investigating, resolving with internal stakeholders and providing feedback within agreed timeline
  • Report on customer issues and feedback by collecting information and drafting reports monthly
Sales Administration
  • Address after sales support requirements by identifying issues, resolving and providing feedback within deadlines
  • Complete required sales administration by completing the Sales CRM processed and updating the system daily
  • Process sales by completing the sales process and documentation on each sale within quality standards and deadlines
  • Draft all required sales documentation by gathering information and documentation, engaging with Estimations and Operations, checking for compliance, completing in line branding standards and always submitting before client deadlines
  • Manage payment cycle of sales (when required) by following the invoicing procedures, tracking payments, and managing those sales are invoiced on time and within deadlines
  • Complete sales reports by gathering information, collating, and submitting in line with defined standards as scheduled and within deadlines
  • Provide support to the sales team which includes Sales and Marketing Director, Sales Consultants, Sales Coordinator, Sales Administrator and Sales Receptionists
 
Qualifications
  • NQF 5 in Sales or similar is preferred
  • In the absence of a relevant qualification, experience in the relevant field and at the relevant level will be considered.
 
Experience
  • 4-6 years’ experience in field
  • Proven sales track record in the fire prevention or similar industry is required
