JOB DESCRIPTION:

Infrastructure Integrator
Description

To develop technology Architecture strategy and high-level solutions for business area to realise their business strategy in the context of the organisational technology strategy.

Responsibilities

Facilitate priority setting, project selection and integration in the organisation by providing guiding principles and architecture
Ensure alignment with emerging Technologies and possible recommendation of new technologies.
Deliver business tasks according to level of expertise to meet financial objectives.
Enable change in a functional area or across the relevant cluster through building and implementing effective change management into their proposed solution.
Generate buy-in and sponsorship through stakeholder engagement
Ensure smooth workflow by building and maintaining networks across business clusters
Contribute to projects through overseeing integration
Participate in projects phases outside their primary discipline
Contribute to deliverables that require integration and application across 2 or 3 disciplines through the application of the architecture landscape
Lead the achievement of architecture solutions where collaboration across disciplines is required.
Lead and influence in more than one discipline though effective facilitation
Ensure alignment with emerging Technologies and possible recommendation of new technologies based
Appropriately incorporate best practice to optimise business outputs through scanning the industry for proven best practices within their discipline
Monitors and evaluates competitive offerings that could change the domain landscape.
Identify where the solution would impact the business and able to propose mitigating actions that will address this.
addressing the integration of all the components of a system to achieve optimisation through focus on delivery
Consider the impact on all part of the system through impact analysis practices
Consider the obvious components and implications as well as able to probe for the less obvious data.
Assess the merits of component maturity/ capability against business needs
Design the architecture to accomplish cross-system/ cross solution domain objectives such as reuse, integration and consistency.
Take a problem domain family or system of systems viewpoint, optimising the architecture across multiple solution domains
Develops position papers that effect multiple domains or creates new domains
Architect a solution domain or multiple solution domains through appliaction of architecture
Work on different aspects of a solution domain or multiple solution domains

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Advantageous

Preferred Qualification Master’s degree (Combined business and science degree)

Experience

8-12 years and/or relevant industry experience in relevant IT disciplines (More than one discipline) Type of Exposure
