JOB DESCRIPTION:

IT Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:

Installing and maintaining operating environments.
Assessing current systems to secure best practices and balance by complying with federal policies and procedures.
Monitoring these operating systems performance environments, databases, applicants and servers.
Ensuring the smooth flow of data throughout an organization, including resolving desktop computer and phone (video conferencing) issues.
Responding effectively and speedily to any problems.
Maintaining a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
Understanding system administration and how network hardware and technologies work.
Providing training and support to the staff.
Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure.
Updating any software and hardware where necessary.
Documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response.

IT Infrastructure Engineer Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
4-5 years experience in the field.
Advanced knowledge of Automated workflow tools and middled ware applications such as Oracle Weblogic, IBM WebSphere), and server visualization technologies (i.e., VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, or Oracle VM).
Must have worked with database systems management software, enterprise resource planning software, and web platform development software.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good communications skills.
Be able to work independently.
Well spoken.
