SUMMARY:
We're looking for an IT technician who will be doing installations, troubleshoot, and fixing the hardware and software in our computer systems. As an IT technician you will provide a wide range of services to support, fix, and maintain the hardware and software of an organization's computer systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

IT Technician Responsibilities:

Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.).
Checking computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
Installing and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
Developing and maintaining local networks in ways that optimize performance.
Ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems is intact.
Providing orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software/s and computer equipment/s.
Organizing and scheduling upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).
Maintaining records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
Identifying computer or network equipment shortages.
Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
Conducting daily backup operations.

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications, certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Proven 4 years experience as IT Technician or relevant position.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communications (written and verbal) ability.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
In-depth understanding and knowledge of diverse computer systems and networks.
Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
