SUMMARY:
Information System Executive (Cape Town)

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Role:

vTo ensure the alignment of different operational systems and procedures, and the adoption of new  technology.
vInterpret and analyse data gathered by systems for the development of new reports and  BI.
vThe person must be creative and passionate about technology. They must be excited and motivated by change and innovation.

 

Responsibilities:

vBusiness Analysis.
vDesign and align processes and systems to ensure service delivery.
vPartners with Exco to successfully implement business and technology strategies.
vDesign of new BI reports.
vDesign and development of new reports in Excel.
vManage staff and service provider relationships.
vManage deadlines / SLA’s.
vImplement new systems within required deadlines
vStay abreast of new operational requirements driven by changes in the industry or by emerging technologies.
vContribution towards the overall company performance and direction.
vGather insights in order to contribute to the strategic goals.
vImplement and drive tactical plans and milestones in line with the relevant strategic goals.
vDetermine IT hardware needs.
vResearch requirement for  operational systems.
vStay abreast of new operational requirements as determined by changes in the industry or  technology enhancements.
vResearch and manager integration with stakeholder systems (clients and service providers).
vPlace the company above individual team to ensure wellbeing of the company.
vMaximise viability of the Company.
vDevelop budget and manage in line with budget strategy (including index points) .
vEnsure good corporate governance in line with King IV principles .
vManage and drive relevant business development initiatives .
vDevelop, define and drive organisational culture needed to reach strategic goals.
vPromote the business and its reputation via active participation in industry bodies, forums and  workgroups and identify new opportunities for the group.

 

Requirements:

v10 Years IS experience.
vBroad experience in various technical disciplines, such as systems deployment, infrastructure, cyber  security, change management etc.
vExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
vProven ability to build relationships at an Executive level.
vExperience thinking critically about systems and workflow, and identifying needs for development.
vExperience in the Fruit / Logistics industry.
vExcellent Excel Knowledge.
