Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Must be a Qualified Electrician/Fitter/Millwright
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar environment
  • Matric Certificate
  • Minimum of an N4 Technical certificate
  • Must be fast learner and must be able to work both independently and within a team
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams

Key Performance Areas:

  • Secure the equipment/machinery to the floor – in some cases concrete work is required
  • Connect the machine electrically to – 230 Volt and 400 Volt (mostly 400V)
  • Connect the machine to the water supply – basic plumbing
  • Connect the machine to air ventilation system or to provide an exhaust solution
  • Program and setting of machines according to customers’ needs and provide training on the operation and maintenance of the machine
  • Complete all relevant paperwork i.e. invoice and job sheets
  • Identify electrical/electronic faults through a process of fault finding
  • Replace faulty electrical/electronic components/parts once the problem/s has been identified
  • Quote on repairs i.e. labour and parts involved or required to repair equipment/machinery
  • Identify when bearings need replacement
