Industrial Engineer Boland Region, Western Cape R25,000-R30,000 CTC

POSITION INFO:

Responsible to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Operations Manager & will be responsible to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and resources.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• ND or BTech Industrial Engineering
• Willing to live & work in a remote area
• Own Transport & Valid Driver’s license
• 3-5 years’ Work Experience

Key Performance Areas:

• Maintain high occupational safety standards (Zero IOD’s).
• Maintain high food safety standards according to the BRC global standard for food safety. (Advantageous)
• Develop cost efficient processes for manufacturing and related systems.
• Often work on several different projects at the same time.
• (Gap analysis) Assess equipment and processes, collect and review data, and conduct tests to see how the processes can be improved
• Implement changes and measure improvements. 
• Preparing reports, flow diagrams and charts, decision trees and process flows.
• Managing the cost and time constraints of projects.
• Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet supply needs.
• Making observations and taking measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data from the other technical and operating staff involved.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs to help with Gap Analysis
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Implement 5S improvement processes by using pre-determined time measuring systems.
