JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements

Commercial qualification
Board Committee experience at JSE listed companies
Operational, Financial, General management and/or Business management experience
Minimum of 5 years Board experience
Prior Chairmanship of Board Committees will be a must
Knowledge and Experience:

Knowledge of corporate governance and of director’s responsibilities/fiduciary duties
Legal, financial and risk management acumen and the intellectual rigour to understand complex issues quickly
Understanding of business generally and an appreciation of broad economic, commercial and financial trends
An understanding of the impact of the environment, industry practices, legislation and other regulatory frameworks on the performance of an enterprise
Strong leadership expertise and ability to inspire colleagues

Pharmaceutical and/or consumer products or FMCG and/or medical expertise would be advantageous.
