Imports Manager

SUMMARY:
New Opportunity: A Global market leader in international freight forwarding and logistics services is searching for a Brokerage Controller to join their team based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Role:

To oversee the imports team and to control client’s shipments, liaising with shipping lines, airlines, customs, and transporters.  To keep clients updated on their shipments with status reports. 

To ensure that shipments are cleared timorously, to avoid any unnecessary storage and demurrage while maintaining our core values (Innovation, Respect, Trust, Teamwork, and Integrity) and culture.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics Management or in Transport and Supply Chain Management and/or relevant Tertiary equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Imports Forwarding and Clearing
• L-Shipping and Shipshape
• Clearing procedures
• Import procedures
• Pricing structure, sector structure, network structure
