Import/Export Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive Industry, has an opportunity available for an Import/Export Controller to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric
• 5 years’ experience in Sea/Airfreight controlling capacity
• Familiar with Customs documentation
• Planning skills, strong attention to detail
• Specialist knowledge of freight forwarding & clearing documents, procedures and practices
• Computer literacy, Navision a bonus

KPAs:

• Ensure shipments are booked and ship when requested as per Inco Terms
• Process import documentation
• Check that shipment/foreign currency balances back to supplier invoice
• Ensure correct rate of exchange is used
• Process and monitor discrepancies
• Process export documentation
• Establish Freight forwarder relationship 
• Produce monthly and quarterly Import/Export reports
