Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Junior Buyer, Procurement Clerk to be based in Cato Ridge, eThekwini, Durban, Kwazulu Natal. This is a permanent position reporting to the Procurement Section in Charge, and carries the primary responsibility of requesting quotations, entry level negotiations, VCRD creations and purchase order creations. Experience in a Manufacturing industry essential, as well as international import and export experience. The role is to develop into diverse skills of procurement and freight.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 2 years’ experience within a similar role
- Must be from Manufacturing with International procurement industry experience (freight, import, exports)
- Own reliable transport
Job Requirements:
- Sourcing new suppliers
- Negotiations
- VCRD creations
- Zero penalties or delays in Freight goods
- Updating and reporting on pending indents
- Updating and reporting on pending purchase orders
- Monitoring of prices and usage of consumables and advising responsible persons
- Conducting supplier audits
- Problem solving and assisting in case of absenteeism
- Monthly kaizen submissions
- Invoice check and submission to accounts
- Freight forwarder documentation (checking, sign-off & submission)
