JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client, a leading and well-known E-Commerce Specialist requires a competent and experienced Image Specilalist Quality Control/Re-toucher to join their creative team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The company supplies edited packshot imagery to retailers and brand clients for use in ecommerce and print. The workload is large and the timelines short. For this reason we need reliable, experienced image quality control experts to help us ensure that all imagery produced in the retouching department meets our standards and is consistent with our visual library and client requirements.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To ensure all images in the workflow environment are of the best quality and adhere to the company or client image standards, specifications and styleguides prior to being submitted to client or added to the library.

The Image Specialist Quality Control is focused on specific clients and has experience to oversee ranges and style-guides.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

QA of images to ensure visual consistency of product images within projects, and across brand and retail

Approve or reject in–process images by confirming specifications

QA within Company software using the correct workflow procedures

QA of images to ensure visual consistency of product images

Update any image standards and specifications received from client or internally

QA to ensure that product ranges and brand products are consistent

QA to ensure product colour is accurate and consistent

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Relevant tertiary qualification with at least 3 - 5 years experience in photo manipulation, including understanding of photography and digital enhancement

Knowledge and understanding of photographic image manipulation

Relevant Qualifications in Adobe Photoshop

Relevant industry experience using Adobe Photoshop / Bridge

Knowledge and experience of Adobe InDesign / Illustrator / Acrobat beneficial, but not essential

Experience with Retail environment beneficial, but not essential

Apple Mac proficient

Must be Criminal Clear

SA Citizens only

Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area
