Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on IT and Infrastructure Technician in Graaff Reinet, responsible for maintaining and supporting the Group’s IT and Security infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work with a range of technologies—from network installations to CCTV, alarms, telephones, and electric fencing

Skills & Experience:
Basic understanding of wireless technology and networking fundamentals.
Experience in IT hardware, crimping, and cable management.
Familiarity with CCTV, IP cameras, VoIP, and alarm systems.
Good computer skills and general IT literacy.
Able to use hand and power tools confidently and safely.
Physically fit—able to carry ladders, lift heavy equipment, and access roof spaces.
Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12).
Technical training or certification in IT, networking, or electronics
Driver license
Medical fit for physical and field based work.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties:
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company IT policies.
Collaborate with property managers and the Team Lead to deliver solutions.
Keep project and service documentation accurate and up to date.
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
Complete daily checklists and submit reports to the IT Team Lead.
Monitor devices and network connectivity across multiple sites.
Ensure all stock, tools, and equipment are ready and in good working condition.
Maintain safety and compliance standards.
Technical Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot wireless connectivity issues and optimise signal performance.
Resolve basic network problems (e.g., IP conflicts, firewall/router configurations).
Install, configure, and maintain VoIP systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and electric fencing.
Set up and manage access points, switches, and network infrastructure.
Perform firmware upgrades ,equipment cleaning, inspection and documentation.
Provide end-user support and training on IT and security systems.
Inspect and report on site equipment and potential future issues.
Update tickets with completed work logs and resolution notes.
Be available for overtime, weekends, or emergency call-outs as required.
Comfortable working at heights or in tight installation spaces.
