FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Matric Certificate/Grade 12 Qualification
• National Diploma in Information System
• Basic IT qualification
• 4 -10 years’ experience in an IT environment 
• Microsoft Product Experience
• 2 Years’ experience in desktop support
• Knowledge and Experience on the Everest system

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Knowledge of Everest and retirement funds advantageous
• SQL server knowledge
• SQL Proficiency – Basic queries, retrieving information and running reports
• Microsoft SQL Management Studio – Back-ups, restoring back-ups and running queries
• Advanced excel
• Working with system developer – Query logs & development logs
• Managing staff queries within turnaround times
• Weekly and monthly reporting

• Provide onsite and remote IT support
• Perform a wide variety of support across many technologies like, Office 365, SharePoint, IP telephone (3CX).
• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot all corporate LAN\WAN environments including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, video surveillance devices and VPN’s.
• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows environments.
• Administer and maintain a virtualized environment.

• Administer and maintain internal and external DNS environment.
• IT systems monitoring.
• IT asset management.
• Deploy hardware and software and provide instructions to users where necessary.
• Standard Operating Environment deployment on Windows laptop and desktop computers.
• Hardware and software vendor liaising.
• Project work to implement solutions to issues and business needs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement

• Carrying out backup testing and disaster recovery plans

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ARE

• Make sure there is a 95% up-time on all systems;
• Ensure that all computer equipment and programs are 100% maintained and upgraded;
• Zero compromise on information confidentiality;
• Backups are 100% up to date;
• Problem solving done within 2 hours of occurrence;
