IT Systems Engineer

Description

Systems engineers are looking after these specific components of our engine: operating systems, business applications and supporting system applications (such as monitoring tools). As a systems engineer you will ensure optimal health of several components and deliver to specific goals (you will be able to decompose goals into interventions and task) set by the Production Manager

Education:

·         MCITP

·         MCSE

·         N+ advantageous

IS, Apache and tomcat

Experience and Skills

·         Working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS with command line skills – optional.

·         T-SQL query writing experience

·         Application server configuration and support: JBOSS, Tomcat.

·         Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex system problems through troubleshooting and log file analysis.

·         Administrative webserver experience:

·         Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

·         Ability to automate repetitive tasks through scripting.

·         Functional knowledge of network protocols and connectivity troubleshooting.

·         Knowledge of VMware and Nutanix technologies.

·         Functional knowledge of enterprise storage.

·         Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.

·         Knowledge of basic Business Process Management

·         3 - 5 years systems support experience

·         4 - 6 years IT support experience
