POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a skilled IT Systems Engineer to help build, secure, and maintain an IT infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing servers, networks, security systems, and cloud services, ensuring high availability and performance. Your work will streamline operations, enhance security, and optimise IT processes, directly impacting business efficiency.

Duties:

• Manage and administer all IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain and optimise Microsoft and Linux-based servers and applications.
• Oversee LAN devices, including switches and firewalls.
• Manage WAN links and partners, monitor link usage, and optimise performance.
• Implement and oversee information security processes, including endpoint protection, anti-virus solutions, and security policies.
• Manage VoIP telephone devices and PABX systems.
• Continuously update and enforce IT governance and compliance standards (ITIL), maintaining process documentation and network diagrams.
• Provide input and guidance on IT system design and transition during project lifecycles.
• Take full ownership of the IT Incident Management process.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Honour’s degree in related field will be advantageous.
• MCP, MCSE, or MCITP
• A+ and N+
• CCNA
• ITIL

• 3 - 5 years of experience in IT administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and O365.
• Strong networking knowledge (Routing, QoS, VLANs, Firewalls).
• Solid understanding of information security (endpoint protection, IPS).
• Deep knowledge of IT operations and best practices

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Quick adaptability to new technologies and evolving IT landscapes.
