POSITION INFO:

IT Systems Administrator (JB939)

Braamfontein; Johannesburg

R450 000 – R550 000 CTC per Annum

Financial services company requires an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join their global team with the Head Office in Sydney, Australia.

You will be required to support 500 users spread across 3 global regions.

Responsibilities:

Provide 2nd level support to service desk for any infrastructure related issues

Patch and recompose the VDI pool on a monthly basis making any changes to the image as required

Perform and execute deployments into production and test systems regularly

Support and manage O365 and Exchange 2013/16 Hybrid

Support and manage Azure and AWS Infrastructure and services

Perform Security Operations requests that involve patching, hardening, and investigations

Requirements:

5+ years relevant experience

Excellent understanding of Microsoft Technologies including Server 2016/2019, AD, AAD, DFS, DHCP, DNS

Knowledge and experience in supporting and managing cloud solutions in AWS, Azure and O365

Expert knowledge of Windows 10 including deploying and patching

Knowledge and experience in managing VMWare vCentre, ESXi and VMWare Horizon

Experience in managing and support monitoring and alerting platforms

Experience in designing and building backup & recovery solutions – Azure, AWS and Veeam

Proven knowledge and experience of ITIL service management concepts and practices

Solid understanding of networking principals with experience troubleshooting connectivity issues around Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls

Shared Storage experience and understanding of iSCSI fundamentals

Ability to work independently

Desirable:

Tertiary qualification - Information Systems / Computer Science.

Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum or variation) using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Kanban

Experience with Automation

VMWare VCP, Microsoft MCP, Cisco CCNA

Understanding of APRA CPS234, PCI, ISO27001 and ASD Security Essentials
