SUMMARY:
IT Support Technician

POSITION INFO:

Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, Microsoft operating systems and Office 365.
Monitoring of the data backup system.
Provide general IT support to Balwin staff.
Extensive equipment support experience with PCs, telephone and peripheral accessories.
Installation and support for various software applications.
Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards
Provide remote and on-site desktop and application support.
Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor problems.
Responding to virus and other security threats to the information system.
Ensure compliance to operational procedures, including security procedures.
Knowledge of IT or general asset management.
Experience in ITIL principles.
Knowledge of working with IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications and Experience

National Diploma OR
BSc Degree, BTech (Computing / Information Systems) OR relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum of 3 Years Experience, A+ & N+
ITIL training and/or certification
